Tiffany Douglass, MA

Tiffany Douglass, MA

CEO

Tiffany earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Emory University in 2004 and her master’s degree in psychology with emphasis on organizational behavior and program evaluation in 2006. Tiffany has led both large and small SUD facilities as well as both private facilities and non-profit facilities over the last 12 years.

In Tiffany’s words: “I practice servant leadership and strive to act with integrity in all aspects of life. No task is too small or job too big–I never ask staff to do things I myself am not prepared to do; I believe in leading by example. I’m so grateful for this wonderful organization and the opportunity to help individuals and families struggling with addiction as the CEO of the Twin Lakes Recovery Center Team”. 

Dr. Rohit Khanna, MD

Dr. Rohit Khanna, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Khanna completed medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then attended Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, NY, for his internship and residency in psychiatry. Dr. Khanna has worked for many years in private practice and in inpatient settings at various private psychiatric institutions. In addition to his work with Twin Lakes, he is an Attending Psychiatrist at Riverwoods Hospital, a private psychiatric facility. Dr. Khanna provides psychiatric care to under-served communities in the north Georgia mountains through an office in Ellijay, GA, via cutting-edge telepsychiatry. He also has a private practice in Marietta, GA. Dr. Khanna specializes in the treatment of adults and has extensive experience with substance use and across the spectrum of psychiatric disorders.
Karen Cheeseman, APRN, BC

Karen Cheeseman, APRN, BC

Advance Practice Registered Nurse in Psychiatry

Karen has been a registered nurse since 1981 and an Advance Practice Registered Nurse in Psychiatry since 1993. Her experience includes working in nursing education, hospital administration, and as a private practice clinician. She has provided consultation and liaison services in inpatient and outpatient settings, Joint Commission and CARF accreditation consultation, program development, and medication management.
Amanda Kiner, LPC, CPCS, NCC

Amanda Kiner, LPC, CPCS, NCC

Director of Clinical Services

Amanda received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University. She graduated with a Masters in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. Amanda began her career in an acute care behavioral health setting and has experience working with clients of all ages struggling with addiction and behavioral health disorders. Amanda has been a clinical provider for 10 years and has expertise in self-harm and in working with clients with co-occurring behavioral health and addiction issues. Through her experiences working with self-harm and trauma, Amanda’s clinical passion turned to addiction. Amanda’s interest in addiction work was sparked by seeing so many of her clients struggle to make the changes they so desired due to their substance use. She saw the huge need and turned her focus toward working with this population. Witnessing growth and hope come back for her clients is a passion.
Michael Kiner, M.A.

Michael Kiner, M.A.

Utilization Review Director

Michael has his Master of Arts degree in Human Services and a specialization in Mental Health Administration. He has experience on the ground floor as a Mental Health Technician, Utilization Review Coordinator, Admissions Counselor, and in working in local ERs to help place those in mental health and substance abuse crisis in appropriate facilities. Mike worked 16 years as a culinary chef and in restaurant management before going back to school and completing his graduate degree. He met his wife in those restaurant years and has two beautiful children. He enjoys spending quality time with his children and family, attending live concerts, and watching sports.
Jennifer Gibbons

Business Office/HR Manager

Jennifer has worked in the healthcare industry for over 25 years. Her background includes clinical as well as administrative roles. She graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College with a Practical Nursing Diploma in 1995. Jennifer resides in Monroe, GA, with her husband and has three children and two grandchildren.
Christopher Brown

Christopher Brown

Director of Admissions

Christopher began in behavioral health in 2014. He studied Early Childhood Education and Economics at Kennesaw State University. After student teaching, Christopher found the only thing more rewarding was working in addiction recovery. After two years of direct client care, Chris moved to admissions and has been the Director of Admissions at Twin Lakes since March 2021. Chris’s favorite part about working at Twin Lakes is working alongside the Twin Lakes staff, bringing people into treatment and of course, Maverick & Goose. Chris enjoys woodworking and spending time with his wife, who is also in behavioral health, and two children.
