Our Philosophy
Twin Lakes Recovery Center is founded on the belief that long-term recovery is possible for everyone who desires and works for it. Our fundamental goal is to restore individuals to a healthier, happier, and more productive life, free from dependence on alcohol, addictive chemicals, and destructive behaviors. We believe each person who walks through our doors is a unique individual with unique needs.
Our practices are built on the disease concept of addiction. Though addiction is incurable, it is treatable. We believe the families of those who are addicted are as affected as the individual; when possible, the family system is addressed as part of our comprehensive care.
Fundamental to our daily practices is the belief that all people have equal worth. We believe each person has an inherent potential for change and growth and that certain proven principles help us all move toward continuous improvement, deeper relationships and greater joy, even in the face of difficulties. Twin Lakes provides a meaningful treatment experience that addresses the whole person: Body, Mind and Spirit. We do this without judgments or criticisms. We know that treating the underlying causes of a substance use disorder and addressing any co-occurring issues significantly increases the chances for a full, lifelong recovery.
We also acknowledge the paradox that recovery requires individual accountability and an ongoing supportive network. “You have to give it away to keep it.”
Twin Lakes Recovery Center provides a safe and supportive treatment atmosphere. Our peaceful setting and our dedicated staff are vital to this atmosphere. Our staff are well-versed in the recovery process, which we see as a lifelong adventure. Past failures are not indicative of the potential to live a life clean of addictive substances. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the exciting process of helping people move from hopelessness to hopefulness.
